Western Bulldogs veteran Dale Morris will undergo a knee reconstruction after suffering an ACL injury on Sunday.
Morris returned for his first AFL game of the season against the Bulldogs at Marvel Stadium, but went down in the third quarter with what has been confirmed as an ACL injury.
It's his second ACL injury of the year, after he sustained a partial tear back in pre-season.
“Dale will undergo a conventional ACL reconstruction today,” medical services manager Chris Bell told the club's website.
“Although he passed every test, ticked every box in rehab and returned to play a month of VFL football, unfortunately, Dale’s knee was unable to withstand the high demands of AFL football.”
