Hawthorn have confirmed forward Cyril Rioli has returned to Darwin to be with his family.
The club confirmed the news in a statement on Tuesday morning.
โCyril expressed to us his desire to return to Darwin with his wife Shannyn and be with their family,โ Hawthorn's GM - Football Graham Wright told hawthornfc.com.au.
โPhysically, Cyril is in great condition, and potentially could have played for us in the coming weeks. However, we acknowledge his desire to be with family.
โOur priority at Hawthorn is our people and we ask that Cyrilโs privacy be respected at this time.โ
Rioli hasn't played for Hawthorn since round four.
