The Western Bulldogs have announced that their prized pick at last year's draft Jamarra Ugle-Hagan will make his senior debut this weekend.
The club announced the news via an official statement on Thursday afternoon after hinting that the tall-forward was 'ready' on social media earlier in the day.
Ugle-Hagan, 19, has been made to wait for his chance at senior level, having spent the entirety of an injury interrupted season playing for the club's VFL side, Footscray.
However, after slotting 13-goals in seven games at the level, the product of the Pups' Next Generation Academy will fill Aaron Naughton's position inside forward 50, after the Western Australian was ruled out due to injury.
With many scouts and pundits likening the teenager to Hawthorn and Sydney superstar Lance 'Buddy' Franklin, the athletic Ugle-Hagan will be afforded a chance to grace the same field as his likeness on Sunday when the Bulldogs do battle with the Swans at Marvel Stadium.
Ugle-Hagan will become the Whitten Oval based side's sixth debutant this season, after Anthony Scott, Lachie McNeil, Jordon Sweet, Buku Khamis and Riley Garcia already earned a spot in Luke Beveridge's best-22.
The Oakleigh Chargers product will also become the club's first number one pick to lace the boots since Adam Cooney in 2003.
