Carlton and Adelaide are reportedly in talks to send Bryce Gibbs home to South Australia.

SEN reports the Blues have approached the Crows to begin discussions on a trade for Gibbs.

“Dialogue has started between Carlton and Adelaide,” SEN's Matt Granland said.

“The call was made by Carlton, rather than the other way around,” Brian Waldron added.

Gibbs requested a trade home to Adelaide last season, however, the Crows would not meet Carlton's demands of two first round draft selections for the former No.1 draft pick.

“It has been really difficult because Gibbs himself has maintained his professionalism, but all along behind the scenes, I think he has indicated if something could be done he would go,” Waldron said.

“Now that Carlton have made the call, it means internally at Carlton they’ve came to an acceptance that maybe if we can get this done and go with more kids, it’ll be better for us. The window with Gibbs probably isn’t there.”

Adelaide are reportedly willing to offer picks 10 and 16 in exchange for Gibbs, but may request a later pick in return as part of the deal.
