Richmond youngster Reece McKenzie has announced his retirement from AFL football after battling mental health issues.
The 20-year-old has spent around 18-months on the Tigers' list after being selected with pick No. 77 in the 2014 National Draft.
He was placed on the club's long term injury list last month, but has since opted to retire from the game.
"The club understands Reece's decision and wishes both him and his family all the best in his football career and future endeavours," the Tigers said in a statement on the club's website.
The 197cm key forward did not play a senior game for the club.
He has applied to play for VAFA club, Marcellin Old Collegians.
