GWS forward Jeremy Cameron has been handed a five-week ban for intentionally striking Brisbane's Harris Andrews during Saturday's contest at the Gabba.
The incident took play in the opening quarter, as Cameron elbowed Andrews in the jaw, instantly knocking out the young Lions defender.
Cameron was referred directly to the Tribunal after match review officer Michael Christian graded the charge as intentional, with severe impact and high contact.
Andrews spent most of Sunday in hospital, and will be re-assessed in two weeks' time after a neurosurgeon found some bleeding on the brain.
Cameron will now be unavailable for selection until round 20.
