Essendon's Conor McKenna will miss the next three weeks after being found guilty of biting Western Bulldogs forward Tory Dickson during Sunday's clash at Etihad Stadium.
McKenna was tackled by Dickson on the wing before the pair wrestled with each other, and the Irishman was found to have bitten his opponent in the skirmish.
Match Review Officer Michael Christian referred the incident straight to the Tribunal on Monday, the first case this year that has been sent straight there.
McKenna will now miss Essendon's upcoming matches against Port Adelaide, Collingwood, and Melbourne.
