Robbie Gray will miss Port Adelaide's round one clash against Fremantle after the tribunal dismissed his appeal for his hit on West Coast's Jeremy McGovern in JLT Community Series action on Sunday.
Gray was cited for rough conduct in the first quarter of the pre-season clash, with Match Review Officer Michael Christian deeming the hit as careless, medium impact and high, resulting in the one match ban.

McGovern failed to return to the ground following the collision, with the tribunal seeing Gray's actions as a bump as opposed to bracing for contact.
As a result of losing the appeal, Port Adelaide will be fined $10,000, a change to the system in 2018 as opposed to players risking an extra week on top of their initial charge.
