Two of Saturday's games will be postponed as South-East Queensland enters a snap three-day lockdown.
While the AFL is yet to confirm the fixture changes, the Queensland Government has announced no professional sport will take place during the lockdown.
This will mean games between Essendon and Sydney, and Gold Coast and Melbourne will be forced to be postponed.
The Suns were set to host the Demons at Metricon Stadium on Saturday afternoon, while the Bombers and Swans were scheduled to play at the Gabba just hours later.
Greater Western Sydney and Port Adelaide's clash at Metricon Stadium on Sunday has also been postponed.
Melbourne is being presented as a potential destination for other matches, with Port Adelaide already residing in Victoria.
The Giants could fly to Victoria and face the Power at GMHBA, while Marvel Stadium could be utilised for Saturday night's fixture or Sunday's postponed match.
Essendon are poised to depart the Sunshine State by the afternoon, with no new time confirmed for fixture changes, while the Demons have u-turned and will head back to Victoria.
The AFL could be forced to being it's pre-finals bye ahead to aid the fixturing and structure of the season.
