Elijah Hollands will remain at Ikon Park until 2026 after penning a two-year contract extension with Carlton.
The 22-year-old has enjoyed a breakout season with his first year at the Blues, relishing the chance to play alongside younger brother Ollie Hollands after two valuable introductory seasons on the Gold Coast, culminating in last year's VFL premiership triumph and a near best-on-ground performance by Elijah.
His first outing at the club was a 56-point victory over North Melbourne, with Hollands amassing 22 disposals and a goal in his welcome party win.
He's shown similar form in recent weeks, kicking three goals with 19 touches in the Round 13 win over Essendon and another impressive display of 21 disposals, eight marks and a goal in their recent belting of Geelong.
“Elijah came to the Club knowing he had to earn a spot if he wanted to play at AFL level. The way he accepted that challenge and has taken his game to another level because of it says a lot about his competitiveness and hunger to be part of this side,” List Manager Nick Austin said after the signing.
“He's a player who thrives in the moment and loves playing in front of that sea of Navy Blue, you can see the enjoyment on his face out there — he brings a great energy on game day.
“With only 26 AFL games under his belt, Elijah has significant growth ahead of him and with the dedication he has already shown from the moment he joined the Club, that is something for our members and supporters to be excited about in the coming years.”
