Brisbane have announced a trio of list changes, with defender Jaxon Prior not offered a new contract while a further two players will be re-selected at the Rookie Draft after also being delisted.

Prior departs the club after five years, with the medium-sized defender amassing 39 appearances for the Lions since making his debut in 2021.

The Western Australian would play a career-high 18 games that year and follow it up with a further dozen in 2022 before managing just nine games in the past two seasons.

โ€œJaxon showed encouraging development since being drafted and played a role in our success at AFL and VFL level,โ€ Brisbane football boss Danny Daly said.

โ€œHe played strong patches of football this season, however, given the cut-throat nature of professional sport we need to make tough decisions with list spots.

โ€œWe would like to thank Jaxon, his partner Bronte and his family for their contribution to the Brisbane Lions for the past five seasons.โ€

Prior's exit comes after reported interest from Essendon, who are weighing up potential defensive delisted free agency options this off-season.

The Lions have also confirmed that small forward Darcy Craven and Irishman Darragh Joyce have also been delisted but will be rejoining the club's list for 2025 as Rookie Draft selections.

The trio of list calls will leave Mid-Season Draft addition Luke Beecken as the sole Brisbane player without a deal for 2025.
