Brisbane forward Callum Ah Chee has sustained a concussion scare in the fourth quarter of the Lions' clash with West Coast, but overcame the heavy hit to return to action.
Ah Chee copped a knee to the back of the head from teammate Logan Morris in a marking contest, with Morris soaring to clunk the ball, albeit at the cost of his teammate.
Ah Chee was assessed in the changerooms but passed concussion testing and returned to the field with a bandaged head.
The 12-day concussion protocols means Ah Chee would have missed Brisbane's Round 3 clash with Geelong, however, he will remain a vital asset to Brisbane's chances at beginning with a 3-0 start to the season.
Some brutal friendly fire as Callum Ah Chee comes off worse for wear. ๐ฌ

In humid, muggy conditions, Eagles and Lions players dealt with cramps across the field as Brisbane fought back from a stunning deficit to defeat West Coast by 19 points.
West Coast youngster Archer Reid was one of many players who dealt with persistent cramps, while an exhausted Bailey Williams was subbed off at three-quarter-time after running through the ruck for the majority of the game.
Harley Reid may have to explain an errant moment in the third term on veteran Dayne Zorko after driving his knees into the Lions' star after giving away a free kick.
Reid tackled Zorko high, and after sliding over the boundary, the two became entangled with the former Pick 1 applying the weight of his knees onto Zorko.
The pair laughed it off, but it capped another frustrating display for the Eagles star.
Late in the fourth quarter, Reid also signalled a middle finger to a heckling Lions crowd after copping a bump from Oscar McInenery.
It was a symbolising moment for West Coast's day, which had started strongly only to give away their position due to a lack of discipline and skill errors.
West Coast led by as many as 31 points in the first quarter and maintained a grasp on the lead until three-quarter time until a mature and experienced Lions side overran the valiant Eagles side in the last term.
West Coast will look to make amends for their defeat next week in the Western derby against Fremantle.
