The Brisbane Lions have officially been crowned as this season's minor premiers, with Melbourne failing to put enough percentage on the board during their dominant 78-point win over West Coast.

The Demons were chasing Brisbane's impressive percentage of 282.4% but fell agonisingly short, finishing the season with 282.1% next to their nine wins, just a 0.3% gap between first and second.

West Coast failed to score a goal in the Saturday afternoon clash, ending the match with just one point on the board, but Melbourne's 11 goals weren't quite enough to secure top spot.

The Dees dominated both on the scoreboard and the stat sheet, with Kate Hore and Eden Zanker kicking two goals each, while Olivia Purcell ended the afternoon with 21 disposals.

Brisbane enjoyed a a strong 45-point win over Collingwood on Friday night as Jesse Wardlaw continued her impressive season in front of goal with two majors.

Collingwood, who are also finals bound, managed just one goal in the Friday night affair.

The race to the top of the table concludes what has been a tight race inside the eight all season, with the remainder of Saturday and Sunday's games set to determine what the finals series looks like.

Season seven marks the second time the Lions have earned the minor premiership, with their other coming in the inaugural AFLW season back in 2017.
