Brisbane Lions star Cam Rayner has booked himself a spot on Australia's PGA Championship Pro-Am after defeating teammates and coaches on the links on Friday.
Playing under the Stableford score system, Rayner amassed a winning score of 47 to secure a comfortable win at Brookwater Golf and Country Club, with veteran teammate Jarryd Lyons (35) and development manager Scot Borlace (34) rounding out the podium.
A total of 21 members from the Lions took part in Friday's event, with young midfielder Jaxon Prior noted as the club's leading contender with a handicap of four.
The win for Rayner will see him take to the links at Royal Queensland, with the modest Lion telling PGA.org.au his latest performance hopefully isn't a one-off.
"I'm very excited. It's going to be awesome," he said.
"Usually I'm losing 150 balls out here so it was good to finally tidy a few things up and get it right.
"If I play half as good (at Royal Queensland) as I did out here today, I'll have a bit of fun."

The Lions aren't the only Brisbane franchise who have the chance to qualify via their own PGA Challenge, with NRL and BBL counterparts the Broncos and Heat also set to press their case.
Rayner's latest feat comes amid a purple patch of form for the former Pick 1 selection, who has polled coaches' votes in his past three appearances.
The 24-year-old has kicked at least one goal in his last eight games, a spell that totals 14 goals and five straight games of multiple majors.
Rayner has also assisted five goals in his past three games, averaging over 20 disposals in that run as the Lions continue to rise up the ladder.
Brisbane are in second spot on the ladder, currently on an eight-game winning streak - rising from 13th since Round 14.
The Lions head to Marvel Stadium this weekend to face St Kilda on Sunday, with a win potentially placing them in reaching distance of ladder leaders Sydney with three rounds to go.
