Brisbane is facing another selection conundrum as they look to bring lockdown defender Brandon Starcevich back into the side for Sunday's enticing meeting with ladder leaders Sydney.
This weekend's affair at the Gabba will see the form side of the competition host the league's premiership favourites, with the Lions looking to extend their winning streak to seven matches.
A Swans scalp would significantly boost Brisbane's premiership prospects, with the New South Wales side set to name their strongest lineup of the year yet in Round 19.
The Lions too will be bolstered with Starcevich's return from concussion protocols, with coach Chris Fagan confirming the medium-sized backman will come back into his side in time for a likely meeting with Sydney livewire Tom Papley.
"He's right to go, it'll be good to have him back and available again," Fagan told media on Thursday morning.
"There's a few good little forwards playing for the Swans that he's got the capacity to play on. We look forward to having him back."
Starcevich's return will mean second-year defender Shadeau Brain - who replaced his senior teammate for Round 18 - will likely make way at selection.
Brain has impressed his coach across his four appearances this season - three of which have been as the tactical sub - with Fagan understanding it will be difficult to move his magnets around for Sunday's blockbuster bout.
The Lions may also need to move star forward Charlie Cameron out of the team should his three-game suspension be upheld at Thursday's Appeal Board hearing, with Fagan having much to consider heading into the weekend.
"We were (impressed by Shadeau). That was his first full game," Fagan added.
"He's really brave in the air, his intercept marking is outstanding for a player of his size. He showed good composure when he got the ball in his hands.
"I'm glad we're not playing until Sunday, we've got a bit of time to think our way through [selection]. We've got to get through training today, but there is a decision or two to be made in that regard.
"It's a good thing, because it means our list is healthier and a few more players are available. (Our young players) have been terrific.
"I looked at the side last week going into the West Coast game, it doesn't get talked about much but we had a lot of guys who hadn't played 30 games of AFL footy. There might've been seven or eight I reckon.
"They're all standing up well and playing their roles and the senior players are doing a great job around them to help them through the games."
Brisbane could move into second on the ladder and be within 10 points of the Swans with five games remaining in the home and away season.
Sunday's meeting will start at 1:10 pm (AEST) at the Gabba.
