Adelaide and Port Adelaide players have taken their Showdown rivalry to social media in the build up to Saturday night's blockbuster.
Power recruit Scott Lycett posted a photo of himself to Instagram, featuring his new Labrador puppy, Kevin.
Adelaide defender Brodie Smith took light to the photo and the upcoming clash at Adelaide Oval, leaving a cheeky remark within the comments.
“Hope he cries all night Friday and you get no sleep,” Smith wrote.
The cheeky comment was soon hit with a quick reply as the Port ruckman wrote back with a sledge of his own.
“Hope you cry all night Saturday and get no sleep,” he wrote.
The banter between the two remained in good taste with Smith and Lycett old high school mates from Henley High in Adelaide.
Fair to say Lycett has the early lead heading into the Showdown.
