Former Hawthorn and Gold Coast player Campbell Brown has hit out at Gary Ablett for failing to appear at the club's first day of pre-season training.
Ablett was granted extra leave from the club for his honeymoon, missing the opening day of pre-season training with his teammates.
It came after revelations Ablett had requested a trade back to Geelong during the recent trade period.
Brown, a former teammate of Ablett's at the Suns, was not impressed by his no show at training.
My mail Suns players filthy Gaz, who messaged all reaffirming commitment 2 club after requesting trade, hasn't return for day 1 pre season

Former Port Adelaide star Kane Cornes got in on the discussion, disagreeing with Brown, however, he would not back down.
I'm not sure they can be too angry, he's carried them for 6 years https://t.co/UU7NgE3kQr

He didn't play after r16, requests trade, been on holidays for 10 weeks. Why take another week and miss day 1 of pre season.

I understand it's not ideal but I reckon he's got some points up his sleeve
