Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley hasn't ruled out making a selection change for Saturday's grand final, suggesting there are a couple of players waiting in the wings who could be of use.
The Pies almost pulled the trigger on Darcy Moore for last Friday's preliminary final, and Ben Reid is also fit and ready to play should Buckley call on him.
The pair could help Collingwood on Saturday, given West Coast's tall forward line including Josh Kennedy and Jack Darling, with either Scott Lycett or Nathan Vardy rotating inside 50 through the ruck.
“There’s some moving parts,” Buckley said on SEN’s Whateley.
“Ultimately selection should be easy because it should be evident once you set your plans, know you opposition, and you have a look at what’s available, it generally becomes really clear about how you can use your assets to your advantage.
“We have a game from three weeks ago that’s evident that gives us a little bit more information and then Round 17 on the G gives us a little bit more information.
“Both games we lost but had periods of dominance and had periods where we were dominated.
“We have had a largely unchanged side for two or three weeks which has been a strength, we have built on that consistency.
“There are a couple of boys that we think could help us and we will consider that when we get to the other side of training tomorrow.”
Jeremy Howe has an ankle problem, but is expected to be fit for selection.
