Carlton's Blake Acres is one of three players to be handed a suspension by the AFL's Match Review Officer following Saturday's action in Round 3.

Acres has been handed a one-game ban for Rough Conduct following an incident in the second quarter of Carlton's win over GWS over the weekend, with the MRO viewing the Blues recruit's actions as Careless Conduct, Medium Impact and High Contact.

Carlton and Acres will challenge the charge, with the wingman hopeful of playing in the Blues' Round 4 bout with North Melbourne on Good Friday at Marvel Stadium.

North Melbourne may also be without defender Griffin Logue for the Good Friday match, with the backman also handed a one-game suspension for Rough Conduct.

A bump on Hawthorn's Will Day has seen Logue gain scrutiny of the MRO, who viewed the Kangaroos defender's actions as Careless Conduct, Medium Impact and High Contact, resulting in a one-game suspension.

The Roos will also head to the Tribunal on Tuesday in challenging the charge.

Adelaide's Luke Pedlar is the third player to be handed a one-game suspension, with the young Crows forward also charged with Rough Conduct.

The MRO viewed Pedlar's incident with Port Adelaide's Dan Houston as Careless Conduct, Medium Impact and High Contact, resulting in a one-game suspension.

Adelaide have accepted the charge, with Pedlar to miss his side's Round 4 match with Fremantle at Adelaide Oval.

Four further players were charged from Saturday's schedule, all resulting in sanctions.

Two further charges were laid down from Saturday night's Showdown clash, with Crow Ben Keays and Port Adelaide's Connor Rozee both able to accept fines of $1,500 with early pleas after being charged with making Careless Contact with an Umpire.

Hawthorn's Jai Newcombe can accept a $1,000 fine with an early plea for his Misconduct charge on Logue, while Essendon's Darcy Parish has avoided suspension for his Striking charge on Saints player Hunter Clark, with the Bomber able to accept a $1,500 fine with an early plea.

Clubs will decided whether they will challenge any charges on Monday.
