Carlton father-son duo Ben and Lucas Camporeale (son of Scott) have officially nominated the Blues as a club of choice.
Sons of Carlton Hall of Famer Scott, the twins have each decided to nominate their boyhood club, as official paperwork was lodged today ahead of the 31 October deadline.
Scott played 233 games for the Blues and was a key piece in the club's most recent premiership in 1995. He also was awarded an All-Australian blazer in 2000.
Scott was originally drafted out of South Australian club Woodville-West Torrens Eagles in the SANFL.
His sons, Ben and Lucas, featured in Glenelg's side throughout their draft year, as well as Carlton's academy for the past three years.
Ben is an inside midfielder who received All-Australian honours and was South Australia's MVP for the u18 National Championships.
Lucas also impressed throughout 2024, utilising his skills on the wing for Glenelg. He also participated at the National Combine, performing strongly in the standing vertical jump (69cm - 10th) and the running vertical jump (91cm - 4th).
Carlton's craft work during the recently completed trade period saw the club secure Pick 3 as well as 38, 63, 68, 69 and 72.
Despite clubs being able to trade picks from now up until and including draft night, the Blues are hopeful that their five later selections will be enough to match any bids for the Camporeale twins.
Aside from Pick 3 (2,234 points), Carlton holds 704 draft points, which is roughly worth Pick 27.
The club can also go into the negative if need be, reducing their 2025 haul.
The Telstra AFL National Draft will be held on Wednesday, 20 November, and Thursday, 21 November, at Marvel Stadium, with the rookie draft to take place on Friday, 22 November.
