Carlton could be forced into two further changes for their season-defining Round 24 clash with St Kilda after forwards Corey Durdin and Zac Williams were unable to see out Sunday's win over West Coast.

Durdin suffered a dislocated shoulder in the third term of the 65-point victory, with the setback bringing an abrupt end to a positive afternoon for the small forward, who booted one goal from 14 disposals before exiting the match.

With Durdin having dealt with a shoulder injury for a large period of this season, Carlton will be concerned the South Australian has suffered more damage and could miss the rest of their current campaign.

Coach Michael Voss stated it will be unlikely that Durdin will face the Saints at Marvel Stadium this weekend, with the Blues needing to assess the full extent of the injury in the coming days.

"It's possible, but it (requires) assessment," Voss said post-game of Durdin's selection chances.

"He's got a shoulder that he hurt about six to eight weeks ago. It was obviously unstable, he went top work on it to try and get back.

"Obviously in that incident he popped it out again, so we'll assess it again and look if we can strengthen it up.

"I would have thought at this stage he is very unlikely for next week."

Fellow forward Zac Williams dealt with a back issue and cramping in his thigh to add to the Blues' injury woes, with Voss forced to make six chances for their trip to Perth last week.

Carlton are more optimistic about Williams' chances to play against the Saints, however Williams' injury history could hamper his chances.

"He had the back (issue) prior to that. We are sort of hoping at this stage it's cramp only," Voss said.

"That's what we're hoping. But with these things we wait until we get full assessment so we can give you the right information."

The Blues will hope to have a couple of key players return for Round 24, where their chances of a top eight finish will be on the line.

A loss to St Kilda could see Voss' side fall out of the finals race at the last hurdle, with Fremantle and Collingwood eyeing wins to potentially return to the September frame.

Key forwards Charlie Curnow (ankle) and Harry McKay (quad) could return, while recurring soft-tissue injuries to Jack Martin (hamstring) and Adam Saad (hamstring) see them as outside chances.

Voss said he has placed little focus on who will be available for their final home and away season game, with their attention soon turning to the meeting with St Kilda.

"To be honest, after the first day (following Round 22), the only days that mattered were the six days ahead of us," the Blues coach claimed.

"It was all about those six days and making sure we got it right and get ready for this game. Now that we've passed those six days we'll turn ourselves into next week.

"When I get back to Melbourne we'll start to assess who is going to be available and who's not."

Carlton will host St Kilda at Marvel Stadium on Sunday afternoon at 3:20pm, with a 14th win for the year potentially needed to keep their season alive.
