Carlton midfielder Adam Cerra has signed a huge contract extension for five more years, taking the 25-year-old's deal until the end of 2030.
Cerra was traded from Fremantle to the Blues in the 2021 AFL trade period, tallying 53 games with the club since his arrival.
Cerra missed a significant chunk of 2024 due to multiple hamstring injuries, with his Round 21 strain his fifth hamstring concern in 12 months. The club sent the midfielder to Doha, Qatar this offseason for an intensive training camp to educate and help find a solution to his prone soft tissue injuries.
The sports hospital facility, Aspertar, has housed the likes of Changkuoth Jiath and Jordan De Goey in recent times as the unlimited resources and testing aids club medical staff assess how their players can best recover and stay uninjured in the future.
Evidently, the Blues are satisfied with Cerra's long-term viability injury-wise, granting the former Docker a five-year contract extension. He will now play a significant role in the middle alongside Carlton stars Patrick Cripps and Sam Walsh, as the Blues push for premiership contention in 2025.
Fully committed to the Carlton cause.

Carlton list boss Nick Austin said Cerra's signing was a great show of faith in the club.
"Adam has had an impact in our side since his arrival at the football club, and for him to commit his future long-term at IKON Park is a show of faith, not only with us towards Adam, but also his faith in the Club and his teammates,โ Austin said.
