Carlton and Port Adelaide have been forced into late changes to their respective sides for separate Sunday showdowns in Round 24.

The Blues will be without small forward Jesse Motlop due to illness, with the club adding fellow attacker Corey Durdin to their starting side as a result of the forced change.

The return for Durdin will see the young forward play in his first game since Round 11 after a string of setbacks placed him on the sidelines.

Durdin is one of five inclusions for the Blues' clash with GWS, with Sam Walsh, Lachie Fogarty, Mitch McGovern and Adam Cerra also brought back into the side this week.

Carlton have not specified any additions to their list of emergencies for Round 24, with Marc Pittonet, Ed Curnow and Caleb Marchbank all on standby for the game at Marvel Stadium.

Elsewhere, Port Adelaide have lost spearhead Todd Marshall for Sunday's clash with Richmond due to hip soreness.

The Power confirmed on Saturday that Marshall has been ruled out of the game, with defender Jase Burgoyne coming into coach Ken Hinkley's 26-man squad.

Burgoyne has been elevated to the Power's crop of emergencies, with Brynn Teakle, Francis Evans and Dante Visentini all in consideration to replace Marshall, with a call to be made an hour before Sunday's bounce.

Port Adelaide have already confirmed Dylan Williams as their tactical sub, however that selection move could now change with Marshall's absence.

The Power will host Richmond at Adelaide Oval at 12:00pm local time.
