Carlton trio Ollie Hollands, Marc Pittonet and Corey Durdin have all required surgery and will spend multiple weeks on the sidelines, while captain Patrick Cripps is expected to be available for Friday's clash with Melbourne.
Cripps suffered an ankle injury in his side's Round 11 loss to Sydney, with his ankle stood on late into the match and hampering the Brownlow Medal winner.
The Blues have confirmed that Cripps is likely to overcome any niggling issue with the ailment and line up against the Demons at the MCG.
Cripps was one of several Carlton players injured in last week's loss, with Durdin (knee), Pittonet (hand), Hollands (collarbone), George Hewett (concussion) and Nic Newman (hamstring) also suffering setbacks.
Hollands will miss close to eight weeks with a fractured collarbone, having required surgery on Tuesday.
Durdin will spend at least six weeks on the sidelines with a lateral collateral ligament injury, with a specialist confirming the extent of the knee injury this week. Durdin went under the knife and will spend an extended period in recovery.
Scans have revealed a fractured hand for ruckman Marc Pittonet, who won't be available for at least two weeks due to required surgery.
Hewett has entered concussion protocols and will be monitored over the week as he looks to be cleared to play after Round 12.
Newman is expected to be available after Carlton's Round 15 bye after suffering a hamstring strain against the Swans.
Carlton have also noted first-year defender Lachie Cowan (finger) and forward pair Jack Martin (calf) and David Cuningham (calf) will be tests for Round 12, while defender Sam Durdin will miss up to three games with a hamstring inury.
The Blues are scheduled to face Melbourne on Friday before matches against Essendon and Gold Coast prior to their bye.
