The speculation surrounding Collingwood's senior coaching position is continuing to build, and now Caroline Wilson has thrown another big name into the mix.
With Nathan Buckley only contracted until the end of the year, the AFL community remains divided over who will be Collingwood's senior coach in 2022.
Embed from Getty ImagesSpeaking on Channel Nine's Footy Classified, Wilson didn't believe Buckley would go on for another year and suggested Geelong premiership coach Chris Scott could be one name on the club's radar.
"I havenโt really thought that (Buckley will be coaching in 2021) all year, but I donโt know for certain. Some people say that theyโre about to re-sign him, I donโt believe so,โ she said.
โI hear Chris Scott has even come into their mind.โ
Wilson's co-hosts, including former Collingwood President Eddie Maguire, seemed shocked by the suggestion. She clarified that Scott's name was just one of many being floated by the Collingwood board.

โThereโs you (co-host Ross Lyon), thereโs Alastair Clarkson obviously,โ she said.
โI donโt think Chris Scott will leave Geelong but I think there are people at Collingwood, whoโll be making those decisions whoโll be looking at all those names.โ

It remains highly unlikely that Scott would consider a move away from a side many believe to be a serious contender this season.
Despite speculation, the premiership-winning coach has made no indication he wants to leave the Cattery.
