Geelong premiership stars James Kelly and Matthew Stokes will reportedly announce their retirements on Wednesday.
The pair are the first of Geelong's premiership veterans to call time on their careers this season, but they are not expected to be the last, with the futures of the likes of Steve Johnson, Corey Enright and Jimmy Bartel still in doubt.
Stokes is understood to have told his teammates today, after he had a meeting with the club last week. Kelly is expected to tell the Geelong players tomorrow.
Stokes was a member of the Cats' 2007 and 2009 premierships, while Kelly played in the 2007, 2009 and 2011 Grand Final victories.
