Geelong skipper Joel Selwood will find himself awaiting the Match Review Officer's verdict once again following a high bump on Greater Western Sydney defender Sam Taylor.
In what was a poor night for the men from Kardinia Park, several injuries and Selwood's nervous wait are sure to form collateral for Chris Scott's side as they near September.
During the third stanza of Friday night's clash, the Cats captain opted to bump Taylor, who was placed over a loose ball on the wing.
Selwood made high contact on the Giants backman, in what could be deemed as reckless.
Fortunately for both Selwood and Taylor, the latter was able to play out the remainder of the match, even earning best-on-ground plaudits for a dazzling run on Coleman medallist Tom Hawkins.

2021 has seen a number of controversial MRO incidents decided by the outcome of the bump rather than the initial impact and level of recklessness, which could bode well in Selwood's favour.
However, the veteran onballer is well known to the MRO this season, receiving two fines during his side's clash with the Bulldogs, while receiving attention for a sling tackle on Lion Tom Berry in the early rounds of the year.
Selwood wasn't the only star of Friday's match that is tipped to come under the MRO's eyes, with Giants forward Toby Greene also facing a nervous wait for a high collision with Geelong's Patrick Dangerfield.
The incident left Dangerfield requiring medical attention in hospital in what was described as a "throat injury".
The loss places Geelong susceptible to falling out of second place on the ladder, with both the Demons and Port in reaching distance should they notch up wins this weekend.
The Giants move into the top eight for the time-being in what was a much-needed victory for Leon Cameron's undermanned side.
