Star Geelong forward, Daniel Menzel is reportedly yet to be offered a new contract by the Cats, despite just two rounds remaining in the home and away season.

Menzel, one the Cats' best players up forward this season and a proven match winner, has booted 36 goals in 15 games this year and averaged four marks per game.

Given Menzel's history with knee injuries, he has been given one-year contracts for the past few seasons, but given his impressive form since returning from his latest injury late last year, a multiple year deal should be forthcoming.

However, despite his form and importance to the side, Channel Seven's Mark Steven's reports the Cats are surprisingly yet to offer the 25-year-old a new deal.

Menzel, who was recruited from South Australia, is sure to gain interest from both Adelaide clubs, particularly the Crows where his brother plays, the longer he remains unsigned.

He has played a total of 56 games for Geelong, kicking 105 goals, since his debut in 2010. He kicked 2.1 in the Cats' crucial win over Richmond at Simonds Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
