Although his side claimed the four-points on Friday night following Gary Rohan's clutch goal after the siren, Geelong captain Joel Selwood has been hit with two fines after his involvement in a pair ugly incidents.
After much deliberation, the Match Review Officer charged the veteran midfielder with a $1,000 fine for misconduct on Bulldogs defender Bailey Dale.

Selwood has long been seen as a courageous and hard-nosed player across his 323-game career at Kardinia Park, however, some fans were less than impressed with these aforementioned displays, with many believing that Selwood crossed a line.

Good afternoon @AFL. Just wondering when we will see the MRO report, and the penalty that will be handed down for Joel Selwood's ear massage last night?
Look forward to hearing from you!
Cheers...

Joel Selwood just cracked it and then stood on Durea’s leg after the mark. Stay classy, buddy. #aflcatsdogs

Still, with credits in the bank, and his class on display following an incredible effort to kickstart the chain that led to Rohan's game winner, the superstar still had his fair share of admirers.
