Chris Judd vs. Dustin Martin... who would you take in their prime?
Martin is a two-time premiership player, two-time Norm Smith medallist, Brownlow medallist, three-time All Australian and two-time best and fairest winner through 225 AFL games.
Judd had won two Brownlow Medals, a premiership, a Norm Smith Medal, six All Australians and five best and fairest at the same stage of his career.
Channel Nine’s Sunday Footy Show panel Billy Brownless, Matthew Lloyd, Kane Cornes, Nathan Brown and Damian Barrett debated over who they prefer.
Brownless was the lone member to choose Martin due to the upside of what he could accomplish in the next few years.
“I’m going to go Dusty because he’ll get a couple more All-Australians, he’ll get another Brownlow and he kicks more goals,” Brownless said.
The rest of the panel sided with Judd, with Brown praising the former Eagles and Blues star for overcoming a tag every week.
“I’m going to go Judd just because in that era he was tagged in pretty much 95 per cent of those games and was still able to do that. You don’t get tagged too often these days,” Brown said.
Barrett added: “I’d take Judd because he did it from game one and Dusty probably took three and a half years to find the true form.'"
