Amid all the pandemonium and celebration of Lance Franklin's historic 1000th goal, memorable stories from across the SCG have begun to emerge in the wake of the moment.

For one fan, as well as Geelong defender Zach Tuohy, a collision in the forward 50 where 'Buddy' slotted home that milestone major will be a tale to recall forever.

As the majority of the 36,578 crowd stormed the hallowed turf, players and officials began to exit the ground as over 20 minutes of celebrations ensued.

While Tuohy made his way off the field, the Irishman was met with a barreling yet excited fan, with the pair clashing unexpectedly in the forward pocket.

Tuohy was able to remain on his feet while the fan fell to the ground before quickly getting back up and running toward Franklin.

Having noticed a set of keys and a phone on the ground after the collision, Tuohy quickly collected the lost items and chased after the man, grabbing him by the collar as a swarm of fans continued to grow.

"Yeah, well, I was trudging off and some bloke ran straight into me," Tuohy told Cats Media. "He apologies straight away.

"I don't think he meant it or anything but we bloody cleaned each other up and there was a bit of a head clash.

"But he apologised and as he stood up and ran off I could see his keys and phone on the ground, and I thought 'well phwoah'.

"It's just about as bad as it gets losing your phone and keys.

"So I picked it up and chased after him and kind of grabbed him by the collar to give him back his keys.

"He kind of looked at me like I was going after him but, like I said he apologised and didn't mean it."
