Travis Cloke is willing to take a huge pay cut to join the Western Bulldogs this off-season.
Cloke's manager, Paul Connors, confirmed to AFL Trade Radio on Monday morning that if the premiership player joins the Dogs, he will earn less than half of what he would earn should he stay at the Magpies in 2017.
"Travis is going there, if he can, for very minimal money," Connors said.
"The money is irrelevant to Travis. He's earned good money along the way. It's a significant pay cut … over 50 per cent."
Connors refused to be drawn into speculation surrounding how the deal may be finalised, saying he will wait for the Bulldogs premiership celebrations to be complete before discussing the intricacies of the deal.
“I think now’s not the time for us to go in and bang down the door, let them enjoy the week, we’ll catch up with them in a week or so,” he said.
“We’d like to think the deal will be done, forget the pick for a second, there’s an understanding I think from both parties that probably time’s up for Travis at the Pies, the relationship is healthy and fine but I think a new home will be good for him.”
Cloke managed just 13 matches for the Pies this season.
