Collingwood has announced that for the second consecutive year, they have broken their membership record, seeing a whopping 110,102 fans sign up to join the army.
On an evening that celebrated Pies legend Scott Pendlebury's 400th game in a dramatic win against arch-rivals Carlton by three points, the club revealed that it had gone better than 2023's 106,470 members.
Collingwood president Jeff Browne was in awe of the support from the game's biggest club, saying how thankful he is to the team's "19th player".
"I am thrilled to announce, for the second consecutive year, we have broken our membership record with 110,102 devoted and loyal Members," Brown said.
"This is an outstanding achievement and only made possible by the unwavering support from each of you, our Magpie Army.
"Last year our Club broke the league record for the highest-ever Membership number in the history of the VFL / AFL competition with 106,470 Members.
"To go one better and raise our record from last year is truly an extraordinary achievement made possible by you, our most loyal supporters.
"On behalf of the Board, players, coaches, and staff, I would like to thank you for your commitment to our Club. Your support has helped us develop our facilities and programs to the highest standards.
"Our Magpie Army is like no other. Your commitment to get behind our teams โ AFL, AFLW, VFL, VFLW, Wheelchair, and our Reclink community team โ is a testament to your loyalty and support.
