Collingwood is close to agreeing to terms on a new deal with out-of-contract defender Darcy Moore, per Channel 7's Tom Browne.
Moore, who has been highly sought after by rival clubs, recently capped a stellar year with his first All-Australian selection.
Rival clubs have now been told the 24-year-old will be re-signing with the Magpies, according to Browne.
"Collingwood is not too far off finalising a deal that will see Darcy Moore remain a Magpie," he tweeted.
"Clubs making inquiries / checking on his status, have been recently told he is staying at the Pies."
The Pies have begun making moves on the contract front, with AFL.com.au reporting yesterday Brody Mihocek has been offered a three-year contract extension.
They also remain hopeful star forward Jordan De Goey will re-sign with the club, along with young Pie Josh Daicos.
Other Collingwood players out of contract include Levi Greenwood, Matt Scharenberg, Rupert Wills, Atu Bosenavulagi and Flynn Appleby.
