Collingwood will make at least two changes for Saturday's clash with St Kilda, with speedster Jaidyn Stephenson set to come in for his first game of the season.
Inside bull Rupert Wills is the other confirmed inclusion, with Josh Thomas and Jack Madgen likely making way after the pair were spotted training with the reserves on Thursday.
Magpies coach Nathan Buckley said Stephenson and Wills had both earned recalls into the senior side.
"He's (Stephenson) definitely in our best mix when he's up and about and I think he's ready to go so we should expect to see him run around on Saturday," Buckley told reporters.
"Rupe's done extremely well, his last month's been really strong. He was probably a little bit stiff to miss round one and was one of the players who came back in really good order off the isolation period."
Big man Darcy Cameron will retain his spot as Mason Cox presses his claims in the seconds against the St Kilda reserves on Saturday.
Star midfielder Adam Treloar (calf strain) is still another week away from putting his hand up for selection after returning to training in recent days.
Buckley also confirmed that star ruckman Brodie Grundy was battling a knee issue but would be right to face the Saints.
"'Brodes' is good. Going down behind the bench is not a great sign when it comes up and the doc says we need to take him down (to the rooms), you never like that too much in the coaches' box," Buckley said.
"It was a bit of a knee on knee and a bit of bone bruising, but he was able to get through."
The Pies meet the Saints at the MCG on Saturday at 4.35pm (AEST).
