Collingwood ruckman Brodie Grundy has been cleared of any serious damage to his neck/shoulder and has since been released from hospital.
Grundy sustained a pinched nerve in Saturday's loss to Geelong and was subsequently subbed out of the match in the third-quarter after undergoing assessment from club trainers.
The Magpies stated on Sunday morning that scans have cleared the 27-year-old - who was experiencing pain in his right shoulder and arm - of serious damage, with the club set to further assess the injury in the coming days.
Grundy wasn't the only Magpies player battling injury in the 10-point loss to the Cats, with captain Scott Pendlebury and debutant Trent Bianco also facing some concerns.
Coach Nathan Buckley revealed that Pendlebury hasn't been playing at full fitness and suffered a finger injury during the Magpies' Round 9 loss to Sydney.
"He's probably not at full fitness at the moment," Buckley said.
“I can tell you that he put his finger into Josh Thomas’ mouth about three weeks ago before the Sydney game and had to have stitches onto the end of a finger that is already as manky as all hell."
Buckley revealed that Bianco has avoided any serious damage to his knee following an incident late into the match and should be fit for Round 12.
"He pulled up fine.. we think that he'll be OK," he said.
Collingwood will travel tio face Adelaide next week as they look to improve on their 2-9 record.
