Collingwood midfielder Finlay Macrae is said to be "keen to find a suitor" this off-season after struggling to cement his spot in the Magpies' best side this year.
Macrae played nine games at AFL level following a promising pre-season period, with the 22-year-old's career tally now at 25 games over four seasons since he was drafted as a top 20 selection.
The young onballer has a deal at Olympic Park for the next 12 months but could find opportunities harder to come by at Collingwood next year given the arrival of recruit Harry Perryman and the lack of midfielders likely to exit the club this trade period.
Macrae's situation has reportedly led the fringe Magpie to assess the open market and hope for a potential suitor, however no club has emerged as a likely landing spot yet.
"Fin Macrae is keen to find a suitor despite having a year to run on his deal,"ย 7 News'ย Mitch Cleary revealed on Wednesday night.
"Clubs aren't yet throwing themselves at the 22-year-old, former first-round pick. He played nine games this year."
While Macrae could remain at Collingwood for the 2025 season given his contract status, several other Magpies face uncertain futures as they remain without deals with less than a week left in the trade period.
Jack Bytel,ย Charlie Dean,ย Joshua Eyre,ย Nathan Kreuger,ย Ned Long,ย Reef McInnes,ย Wil Parker and Lachie Sullivan are unsigned for next season, while Joe Richards has requested a trade to Port Adelaide.
The Magpies have been linked to Power defender Dan Houston and St Kilda tall Jack Hayes, with the latter understood to have conducted a medical at Collingwood this week.
Hayes' potential arrival could see one of Kreuger or McInnes cut by the club in a reshuffling of their key forward stocks.
List calls from Collingwood are likely to come after the exchange window closes next Wednesday night.
