Collingwood have locked away deals for four of their players, including Jaidyn Stephenson,ย Ben Reid,ย Brayden Sier andย Max Lynch.

Stephenson, perhaps the most exciting of the re-signings, has extended his deal until the end of 2021. The 19-year old has been a revelation for the club since being taken with pick six in the 2017 draft, booting 12 majors, including a bag of five to his name that earned him a Rising Star nomination.

Reid, a premiership defender and All-Australian, has been a reliable staple of the Collingwood side and looks destined to finish his career as a one-club player.

After taking a while to come on since being taken with pick 32 in the 2015 draft, Sier has been dominating in the Pies' VFL side has been on the cusp of senior selection for a number of weeks now.

Lynch is a 200cm ruckman in his second season at the Pies that is still finding his feet at VFL level.

Collingwood list manager Ned Guy said extending the deals of their youngsters and re-signing an experienced veteran in Reid was important for the club.

โ€œBen (Reid) has a role to play in the team that everyone - teammates and coaching staff in particular โ€“ recognises. His game sense and forward craft help the attack tick,โ€ Guy told the club website.

โ€œHe also has experience to pass on to the likes of Jaidyn (Stephenson), who is starting out on his football journey. Ideally, we have young players like Jaidyn, Max (Lynch) and Brayden (Sier) come through the Collingwood system with guidance from seasoned team-mates and premiership players like Ben,ย Scott Pendleburyย andย Steele Sidebottom.โ€

Jamie Elliott, Alex Fasolo,ย Jordan De Goey, Josh Thomas, Darcy Moore, James Aish, Tim Broomhead and Tyson Goldsack all remain uncontracted for 2019.
