Collingwood forward Brody Mihocek and defender Brayden Maynard have been ruled out of the Pies' all-important clash with the Western Bulldogs this Friday.
Mihocek experienced hamstring tightness, with the Magpies medical staff opting to be cautious with their reliable forward.
Maynard, meanwhile, suffered multiple ailments during Collingwood's battering of the Gold Coast Suns last Saturday, injuring his shoulder and knee. The backman's knee is recovered, however, his shoulder was to be monitored throughout the week.
Collingwood coach Craig McRae confirmed to media on Wednesday that Maynard would not be risked, and would miss his side's Round 17 matchup with the Dogs.

Meantime, Nathan Kreuger suffered a concussion during Collingwood's VFL action last weekend, consequently entering the AFL's concussion protocols, while Dan McStay was a late withdrawal from the Pies' VFL side after falling victim to illness.
However, the ex-Lion is expected to play in the VFL this weekend, having missed his return through the state league competition last weekend due to illness.
Injured midfielder Steele Sidebottom, meanwhile, is progressing positively and is expected to participate in full training next week before putting his hand up for selection.
The Pies battle the Bulldogs at Marvel Stadium on Friday at 7:50 PM (AEST).
