Collingwood star Steele Sidebottom's house has burned down over the weekend, according to a report by Triple M's Tom Browne.
It is understood that the blaze stemmed from a BBQ and the gun midfielder was at home during the incident but is "100 per cent fine," albeit shaken up, and his house is unlivable.
"(Sidebottom's) inner-eastern suburbs home on Saturday - the back section certainly burnt down," Browne told Triple M.
"It's unliveable I'm told, with fire crews attending on Saturday afternoon.
"I think a fire started around the barbecue, spread to the back and engulfed the rear of the property."
Magpies president Eddie McGuire confirmed that Sidebottom was unable to attend the club's 2010 premiership reunion that afternoon due to the episode.
