Collingwood winger Trent Bianco remains uncontracted past 2023 and has emerged as a potential trade target.
The 22-year-old has struggled to make an appearance in the senior side throughout 2023, playing one game so far. Bianco managed 10 games for the Pies in 2022 including a preliminary final loss to the Swans at the SCG.
The winger has been a regular contributor to the Magpies VFL side, playing a total of 13 games and averaging 25 disposals. He is a consistent performer at VFL level along with the midfield talents of another trade target, Finlay Macrae.
Bianco's one appearance at senior level in 2022 was as the sub in a Round 17 clash with the Bulldogs. In the 40% of game time he had, Bianco tallied nine disposals along with three marks as the Pies defeated the Dogs. Since that game, he hasn't been given another opportunity despite his VFL success.
Callum Twomey of afl.com.au has reported that Finlay Macrae is being considered by rival clubs despite being contracted until the end of 2024 and due to 21-year-old Macrae's contract situation, clubs may be inclined to target Bianco also.
The Pies are also yet to re-sign Cooper Murley, Arlo Draper, Will Kelly and Trey Ruscoe, the latter pair both making appearances for the senior side.
Since being drafted in 2019, Bianco has played a total of 23 games at AFL level. His spot in the side is tough to break into, with the star form and re-signing of Josh Daicos until 2030 and the consistency of veteran Steele Sidebottom keeping him out.
With the Pies unlikely to adjust the wing positions across the next 12 months, Bianco could be searching for a consistent position in another AFL side.
