Collingwood's Jack Crisp is expected to play in Thursday night's match against Brisbane despite an ongoing investigation into an online video of the star midfielder.
The Magpies were forced to address a video of Crisp that was circulating online on Wednesday.
The club released a statement on Wednesday night revealing they and the AFL are aware of the online video and are investigating the matter.
"The Collingwood Football Club is aware of a video circulating online this evening involving AFL player Jack Crisp," the statement read.
"The Club has been in contact with the AFL and will work through the situation before providing a further update."
The time of the video is not yet known.
The AFL released a statement of their own on Thursday, confirming they will speak with Crisp sometime next week.
"The AFL confirms Collingwood Football Club last night alerted the Integrity Unit of a video that was circulated on social media featuring player Jack Crisp," the statement reads.
"AFLIU will speak with Crisp in relation to the content next week upon his return from Brisbane."
According to The Age, Crisp is keen to play against Brisbane at the Gabba for his side's Round 4 match, with Collingwood also prepared to allow the 29-year-old to remain named for selection.
The short turnaround to Thursday's match isn't enough time for the AFL's investigation to be concluded.
The Magpies have travelled to Queensland for their match against the Lions, with their final team to be named at 6:35pm (AEST).
Crisp has played 185 games for Collingwood to tally 203 matches in the AFL, having appeared in 18 games with the Brisbane Lions.
