Contracted Fremantle star Andrew Brayshaw has denied there is any pull to Victoria after making Perth his new home over the last seven years.
Brayshaw is anticipated to fetch interest from his home state should he remain unsigned beyond the 2025 season midway through next year, with the Sandringham Dragons product in line to enter his first year of free agency eligibility.
The 2022 AFLPA MVP winner will be one of the headline names coming off-contract in 2025 and shapes as a key retention target for the Dockers, who could be making moves of their own next year given the reported ties to Western Australian and Sydney gun Chad Warner.
St Kilda's desire to add top line midfield talent, as well as those who once called the Bayside area home, would likely mean Brayshaw is in the sights of the Moorabbin-based club ahead of his current contract's expiry.
But with a call not required on his future for at least another 12 months, Brayshaw hasn't given his future planning much thought.
Quizzed on the expected interest from rival clubs over the next year, the Dockers vice-captain said his priority is firmly set on his football.
"I haven't really been listening to too much noise about it," Brayshaw told media on Monday.
"My main focus is finishing this season as strong as I can and hopefully us pushing deep into September, and then probably analyse contract talks at the end of the season.
"My main focus is really just playing good footy at the moment."
Having spent the better part of the last decade in Western Australia since being taken with the second overall draft selection in 2017 by the Dockers, Brayshaw views Perth as his home.
When asked if there was still any pull from Victoria, Brayshaw said there was no desire to move back to his home state.
"No, I wouldn't say so," Brayshaw said.ย "I consider Perth my home now.
"Me and my fiancรฉe, we own a house in East Freo and we love it here. We've got a little dog and our own little family here.
"Whilst we still have family in Victoria, we definitely call Perth home."
Brayshaw is joined by captain Alex Pearce, veteran Nat Fyfe, former first-round pick Neil Erasmus and forward Michael Walters, among others, in coming off-contract at Fremantle in 2025.
The 24-year-old has played 138 games in purple, winning best and fairest and All-Australian honours following a career-best 2022 campaign.
