With two wins on the trot, Adelaide are suddenly far more buoyant about next season.
With their eyes set on the upcoming draft, the Crows should enter the night with two first round picks (currently 1 and 6) and a pair of seconds (20 and 31).
This hand could potentially be boosted with another pick in the first round if Brad Crouch exits West Lakes via free agency.
However, with an already young list, it would be wise of the Crows to add not just a spate of rookies, but some seasoned talent to their list in 2021.
The question now stands - who do they go for?
Broadcaster and perennial agitator Kane Cornes has thrown four names into the mix.
“They don't have enough talent, they don't have enough experience, so I'm fascinated to see what the Crows do.
“They're heavily invested in the draft, and that's fine, but what other experience can you get in the door to help these young players? Otherwise you will see a similar year to this and it could get a bit ugly for the next two-to-three years.
“I hope they go after players like (Orazio) Fantasia, (Jackson) Hately has been mentioned from the Giants, Jack Graham from Richmond, Luke Dunstan … I wouldn't mind seeing them have a look at him because he's a South Australian boy.
“They've just got to bolster their list with some players in that 20-to-26-year-old bracket that can help guide these youngsters for the next four-to-five years.”
Despite back-to-back wins over Hawthorn and GWS, Adelaide still remain at the foot of the table.
