Craig Black has departed his role as senior coach of Collingwood's VFL side, set to take on a new position within AFL Victoria's NAB League program.

Black signed on as senior coach in 2018, leading the Magpies for three seasons, including a 2022 campaign which saw the club finish in 6th and make finals.

Collingwood General Manager of Football, Graham Wright, thanked Black for his time at the club.

โ€œCraig has added great value to our football program over the past four years,โ€ Wright said.

โ€œEven through a VFL season hiatus due to the pandemic in 2020, Craig was instrumental in making sure the group remained connected and engaged.

โ€œHis dedication and care towards all at Collingwood is to be commended and we appreciate and thank him for his commitment to the Club.

โ€œWe wish Craig and his family all the best with his new role and future endeavours.โ€
