Adelaide and Port Adelaide will both see AFL-listed players return to their lineups for Round 8 SANFL action this weekend.

Crows defender Nick Murray will make his return from an ACL injury through the SANFL alongside his brother Toby, who returns to the side after being picked by the Crows in Wednesday's Mid-Season Draft.

Playing only limited minutes in the forward line last week against Sturt, Luke Pedlar will play another game in the seconds as he recovers from a shoulder injury.

After appearing to have sustained a serious knee injury at training this week, young midfielder Zac Taylor has been named in the team to take on West Adelaide on Saturday.

Skipper Jack Madgen will return to the lineup after missing last week's game, having been in concussion protocols.

Tasmanian recruit Ben Simpson looms as a likely replacement, named on an extended bench after a solid game in the reserves last weekend.

Jack Saunders has also been picked on the extended bench and in the frame to play his first senior game since round four last year following a spate of injuries.

The Eagles will lose dashing half-back Luke Beecken, who was picked up by Brisbane Lions in the Mid-Season Draft, as well as defender Jordan Moore with a calf complaint.

Captain Joe Sinor will miss at least the next 2-3 weeks with a hamstring injury sustained in the state game against Western Australia.

Key defender Cameron Fleeton will return after overcoming concussion, while Ryan Bruce has received a recall to reward his fine start to the year in the reserves.

Glenelg wingman James Bell is back from concussion protocols and will be a key inclusion, as will Reid Kuller following a sublime performance in the reserves last week against Woodville-West Torrens.

Sturt will welcome back ruckman Amos Doyle from a finger issue to take on the Magpies' dual ruck threat of Sweet and Visentini.

Kelsey Rypstra departs the Roosters after his selection in the AFL Mid-Season Draft, with Charlie Dinning, Harrison Magor, Matthew McKenzie and Tariek Newchurch all named on an extended bench as possible replacements.

Central District have called up Anzac Lochowiak, Oliver Shaw, Adam Deakin and Dayne Posthuma from the reserves after last week's hiding against Norwood, with key defender Will Splann dropped to the reserves.

Reigning Magarey medallist Harry Grant has missed selection again with a knee injury, with a timeline on his return still unclear at this stage.

At West Adelaide, Jed Obst will return from a shoulder injury while Mitch Maguire has been recalled from the reserves to take on Adelaide.
