This weekend's Showdown clash between the Crows and Power has been given the green light to allow fans to attend under reduced capacity.

Saturday night's clash, which will be the 50th instalment of the rivalry, will be capped at 15,000 attendees under SA Health's COVID-19 guidelines, per AFL.com.au.

Attending fans will be allocated designated aisles to enter Adelaide Oval, with fans needing to arrive at the ground no earlier than 6:10pm.

Under the enforced directions, fans will also be required to wear fitted face masks throughout the night, and are able to remove them when eating or drinking.

“Any game we can play in front of our members is always going to be welcomed and much appreciated,” Adelaide chief executive Tim Silvers said.

“In a perfect world we would like to have a full house so as many of our supporters can attend but we obviously understand and support the measures that have been put in place to keep everyone safe.

“We also acknowledge this situation will not cater for all of our passionate members and we trust they will be understanding given these uncertain and challenging times.”

Port Adelaide currently hold bragging rights over their cross-town rivals, having won 25 matches between the two sides.

Should Adelaide claim four points this weekend, each side will be tied for Showdown victories.

Port Adelaide revealed on Tuesday that they won't be able to wear their heritage 'prison bar' guernsey on Saturday night.
