Adelaide great Mark Ricciuto has provided new details on the vacated senior assistant role at the Crows, for which the search has been on since the appointment of Matthew Nicks as senior coach in a new-look off-field department.
Riccuito took to Triple M Tuesday morning on Roo and Ditts for Breakfast to disclose more information with no news from the club in some time, and is bound to have caused surprise with the discussion.
"Senior assistant role, there isn't gonna be one, Matty Nicks wants to have less voices and give the line coaches more of an opportunity to play a bit more of a dominant role this year," Ricciuto said.
"So they're going with less voices."
Ricciuto also gave more information on the newly created 'head of leadership and culture' position that also hasn't been filled, as the club seeks a fresh start both on and off the park following a dismal second half of 2019 and the resignation of Don Pyke among several key departures.
"The leader and culture role hasn't been picked yet because they want to give the footy manager a say in that (after that position is also filled)," Ricciuto said.
