Paul Seedsman has received some positive injury news, after hurting his knee against Geelong on Thursday.
After landing awkwardly against the Cats, the majority of the AFL world suspected the worst, yet another ACL injury this season.
It was confirmed on Friday that the 27-year-old had escaped any damage to the ligament.
That news has continued to improve with the Adelaide midfielder only set to miss four weeks, according to Adelaide assistant coach Ben Hart.
"They have to wait and see because bone bruising is an interesting one as to how long that can take, but 12 months, as opposed to a month, is good news, so we're happy with that," Hart said.
With that in mind, the winger could return for the Showdown against Port Adelaide in round eight.
Adelaide ruckman Sam Jacobs also looks set to miss the Crows' clash with North Melbourne this weekend, after he was ruled out ahead of their loss to Geelong.
"He's unlikely at this stage, but we'll have to wait and see," Hart told the media on Monday.
"He got a knock to his knee which was pretty sore last week and we just have to wait and see how that pulls up.
"He did a little bit this morning, but not a great deal, so hopefully just one more (week), but you never know."
