Adelaide wingman Paul Seedsman has been sidelined from training after suffering ongoing concussion symptoms following a head knock sustained last year.
The Crows revealed on Monday that the 29-year-old is yet to resume training for 2022 and is currently on light duties, with the initial injury occurring at training prior to Christmas.
Having since returned to West Lakes this year following the club's break, Seedsman has continued to experience symptoms believed to be related to the recent head knock.
Newly appointed high performance manager Darren Burgess revealed the club is set to carefully monitor Seedsman's health across the coming weeks.
“As with any concussion we are treating it very seriously and are monitoring Paul’s wellbeing and return to training on a daily basis,” Burgess said.
“It is pleasing to see him back at the Club and doing some light exercises under the guidance of our medical team but we are in no rush for him to rejoin the main group and are taking every precaution.”
The AFL has looked to best combat concussion in recent years, with the league implementing an automatic 12-day sideline period for any player that suffers a head knock at training or in a match.
West Coast pair Brad Sheppard and Daniel Venables announced their retirement from the game last year after facing an ongoing battle with concussion.
Seedsman's value to Matthew Nicks' midfield has vastly grown across the past two seasons, with the Crows utility moving into a more advanced position on the wing after starting his AFL tenure from defence.

The former Magpie now ranks as one of the competition's best wingers, with Seedsman having amassed career-best numbers last season for possessions, rebounds 50s, inside 50s and clearances, while also ranking elite for metres gained and bounces.
Seedman signed a new one-year deal with Adelaide in October, signing his services to the South Australian club until the end of the 2023 season.
The Rowville product has played six seasons and 83 games for the Crows since switching from Collingwood at the end of the 2015 season and is set to pair with star recruit Jordan Dawson in forming a lethal wing duo at Adelaide.
